Summary: The American Indian Higher Education Consortium (AIHEC) is issuing this Request for Proposal for consulting and advocacy services in order to solicit replies interested in providing such services to support the federal advocacy goals, activities, and work products of AIHEC conducted on behalf of the nation's Tribal Colleges and Universities. Consulting/advocacy services and activities will require extensive knowledge of federal legislative processes, including annual budget and appropriations. Additionally, a demonstrated working knowledge of Tribal sovereignty and Tribal higher education issues is required of interested respondents. AIHEC may, in the sole exercise of its discretion, select all, some, or none of the respondents to this RFP.
About AIHEC: AIHEC was established in 1973 to provide a support network for the then six Tribally chartered institutions of higher education as they worked to influence federal policies on American Indian higher education. Today, AIHEC comprises 35 accredited Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCUs) in the United States.
