This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.2 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is CT2221-17 and this solicitation is issued as a Request for Proposals (RFP). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-89-2. The North American Industry Classification System code is 339993, Fastener, Button, Needle, and Pin Manufacturing which includes eyelets, metal, manufacturing.

UNICOR, Federal Prison Industries, Inc., intends to enter into a one-year base period with two one-year option periods, firm-fixed-price Requirements type contract for the following commercial items: Various metal fasteners (snaps) and machine lease to be used in the manufacture of cold weather trousers, outer tactical vests, and utility coveralls for the military.
