Medical Transcription RFP
Caseload averages 1 - 2 dictations per day Tuesday through Friday and 2 – 10 dictations per day on Mondays. Transcriptions are taken from digital audio recordings using the Olympus DS-4000 digital voice recorder. Individual reports are typically 7-10 pages with an estimated 6,000 to 20,000 characters per report. Transcriptions must comply with all HIPPA protocols. Confidentially is required under HIPPA and Washington State statutes specific Medical Examiner’s Offices. Electronic transmittal is required via Web delivery with secure and confidential login protections. Completed transcribed reports must be returned to the Medical Examiner’s Office within 72 hours and must be in electronic format that is compatible with the Snohomish County’s software applications: MS Office Suite.
