Food Service Department Equipment Repair
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. THIS NOTICE IS ISSUED FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION OR INVITATION FOR OFFERORS TO SUBMIT BIDS. A SYNOPSIS OF PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION MAY BE POSTED AT A LATER DATE WHICH WILL PROVIDE INSTRUCTIONS FOR BIDDERS TO RESPOND TO THIS OPPORTUNITY.
Please only respond to this Sources Sought Notice if you are interested in submitting a bid and capable of performing the work required to complete the project.
The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) contemplates awarding a Firm-Fixed Price Contract for a Food Service Equipment Repair Project at the Federal Correctional Complex (FCC) Beaumont. The Federal Correctional Complex, consists of a Federal Prison Camp-Minimum Security, Federal Correctional Institution-Low Security, Federal Correctional Institution-Medium Security, and United States Penitentiary-High Security. Each of these institutions has a Food Service Department located within. FCC Beaumont is located at 5430 Knauth Road, Beaumont, Texas 77705. This award will be awarded on price factors only and will be awarded to the lowest quoted price. At this time, I anticipate doing a Sole Source Award.
This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code for Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (Except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance is 811310. The contractor will visit all Food Service Departments throughout the complex to make an assessment of all Food Service Equipment to be repaired and to make sure it is operating properly. The contractor will document his findings and report them to the Food Service Administrator. The contractor will make repairs if necessary and must be experienced in all Commercial Food Service Equipment such as: Champion Dish Machine, Imperial Gas Oven, Cleveland Steam Kettles, Garland Gas Grills, Hobart Meat Slicer/Buffalo Chopper, Cleveland Tilt Skillets, Delfield Hot Box/Cold Box, Booth Beverage Dispenser, and Bio Hi-Tech Eco-Digester.
The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment to accomplish the work identified to repair the Food Service Equipment. All travel and per diem costs shall be included in the contractors bid price.
