RFP

The AAP, in partnership with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), aims to implement a
comprehensive initiative that would ensure high confidence in COVID-19 vaccine among pediatric health care
clinicians, non-clinical staff within pediatric health care settings, patients, and patients' families. Specifically, this
initiative would empower pediatric health care clinicians, non-clinical staff within pediatric health care settings,
patients, and patients' families to have effective COVID-19 vaccine conversations, activate pediatric health care
clinicians and non-clinical staff to make vaccine confidence visible, increase the capacity of pediatric health care
clinicians and non-clinical staff to share credible COVID-19 vaccination information and respond to misinformation, including during individual clinical encounters, interactions with community members, and in news and social media, and share success stories and lessons learned.

The AAP will empower its members, other pediatric clinicians, and non-clinicians to have effective COVID-19
vaccine conversations, in part, through the investigation of vaccination message frames designed to increase public confidence in vaccines, including the COVID-19 vaccine.

The AAP seeks proposals from marketing, communications, and other organizations with the capacity to work collaboratively with the AAP to empirically test the ability of vaccination message frames and narratives to shift public thinking about the importance of vaccination. Organizations with a broader equity perspective that understand the importance of using diverse voices to share credible vaccine information and respond to misinformation and experience reaching diverse audiences are particularly encouraged to submit a proposal.
