California Transportation Choices Partnership Project: Advancing Innovative Road Pricing Projects

In partnership with California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) and five Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPOs), CALCOG is serving a lead coordination role for work under a USDOT Regional Infrastructure Accelerator Demonstration Program to establish the California Transportation Choices Partnership (CTCP). The MPO partners on this work are the Metropolitan Transportation Commission / Association of Bay Area Governments (MTC/ABAG), the Sacramento Area Council of Governments (SACOG), the San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG), the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG), and the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA). The CTCP will build a coalition of state, regional, and local agencies that understand and can communicate the cost and benefits of implementing road pricing projects (e.g., tolled lanes, express lanes, cordon pricing, congestion pricing) to expedite planning, development, and delivery of innovative road pricing projects.
