Special Legal Counsel / Federal and State Grants and Funding
DESCRIPTION: The Municipal Utilities Authority desires to appoint special legal counsel relative to the Authority's efforts to obtain & participate in federal and state grant, loan and loan guarantee programs in order to assist in financing utility and environmental projects of value to the Authority and its ratepayers.
AT A MINIMUM, THE RESPONDING FIRM OR ENTITY:
1. Must be licensed to practice law in the District of Columbia and eligible to appear before all federal and administrative offices and agencies for a period of not less than ten (10) years preceding appointment.
2. Must have a minimum of ten (10) years experience representing municipal entities in connection with federal and state grant, loan and loan guarantee programs.
3. Must maintain professional liability insurance in an aggregate amount of at least $1,000,000.
4. Must describe any special services available to municipal clients.
5. Must list all past and present municipal clients. Any experience or knowledge of matters that directly affect the BMUA should be addressed.
6. MUST OBTAIN THE SUBMISSION PACKAGE AND COMPLETE AND RETURN THE SEALED SUBMISSION FORM AND ENCLOSURES BY THE DU
