Youth Employment and Training
The WIB has authorized the Somerset County Department of Human Services (SCDHS) to release this Request for Proposal (RFP) to solicit proposals from organizations interested in operating Youth Employment & Training Programs for Somerset County and Hunterdon County residents.
Youth Programs provide comprehensive education and employment preparation services via a skills-based design to eligible low-income youth age fourteen (14) through twenty-one (21).
The Greater Raritan Workforce Investment Board (WIB) is seeking proposals that offer youth development services that not only support and prepare youth for success in employment and improved educational achievement; but also, through intensive service strategies, have a long-term impact on a youths future as members of both the community and the workforce. In particular, the WIB is seeking proposals that focus on out-of-school youth. We are also seeking proposals which use an industry-focused approach designed to prepare youth for an in-demand occupation in Hunterdon and Somerset Counties.
