The New Jersey Economic Development Authority (EDA) is an independent state agency whose
primary mission is to encourage economic growth and diversity in the State and strengthen
communities. It accomplishes its mission by providing a vast array of financing programs that
increase the availability of capital to businesses at low interest rates, undertaking significant real
estate development projects that benefit economically distressed communities or growth industries, and by providing entrepreneurial training and mentoring services.
The EDA is seeking to secure an Agency to help us redesign the EDA web site. The web site will
need to incorporate the EDA key messages. The EDA has identified key market segments that it
wants to target and will utilize the web as a tool to communicate to the target audiences. The EDA is looking for the new site to be user friendly, database driven and easy to update. The site will be hosted by EDA. The site will need to function with some programs that has been developed
internally by the EDA ITS team i.e. EDAs online application program. The EDA would like the
web agency to meet the following technical requirements:
1. Employ Microsoft SQL Server 2000 as the back-end database to the web application.
2. Utilize Microsoft .NET 2005 Studio as the web development environment.
3. Web Application must conform to NJEDA's existing and planned system architecture.
The EDA is currently working with the Governors Office of Economic Growth (OEG) on statewide
marketing and web site efforts. The efforts are complimentary and the work of the successful
agency will need to support both State and EDA brand.
