Stormwater Pond Expansion

The proposed project consists of dredging an existing regional stormwater pond
to increase capacity needed for water storage as a result of road improvements
planned by VDOT. Approximately 335 cubic yards of bottom material will be
removed from a work area of 2.2 acres, focusing on the area closest to the dam.
Dredged material will be disposed as described on the attached dredge
management plan (Appendix B). Dredge material will be stockpiled on-site with
measures to retain and dispose of water from the dewatering process. No water
shall be allowed to re-enter the stormwater pond or the nearby wetlands. This
area has been field reviewed and is an upland location with no impact to
jurisdictional features or critical habitat.
