Statewide IP Enabled Next Generation (NG911) Network
The Agency is soliciting Responsive Proposals from Responsible Contractors to
engineer, furnish, install and maintain an IP-enabled Next Generation 911
system (System) to meet current and future communications technologies. The
System must be: fully integrated with the E911 system; able to handle all the
currently supported call methods and all the currently supported 911 features;
scalable to support future Next Generation E911 IP features and requirements;
capable of resolving the limitations of the current E911 system; affordable and
reliable. The System must be designed to: provide the highest level of reliability
and survivability possible; easily integrate new technology, easily manage
information from the System and extract management information from it; and
provide increased and measurable flexibility.
