Sponsorships Provide Exclusive Public Engagement Among Five Mediums
SANTA ANA, Calif. - October 1, 2012 - Iteris, Inc. (NYSE Amex: ITI), a leader in providing intelligent traffic management information solutions, is soliciting proposals for Sponsorship Opportunities of Georgia's 511 NaviGAtor traveler information system. The Request for Proposal (RFP) package has been amended and is available to download at http://www.meridian-enviro.com/RFPs/GDOT.pdf.
Georgia 511 is a sponsor-supported public service of the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) that can be accessed at www.511ga.org, or by phone by dialing 511 anywhere in the State of Georgia. The system improves transportation mobility and safety by providing travelers with real-time, route-specific travel information by identifying incidents, roadwork construction, congestion, and road weather conditions statewide.
Iteris, through its subsidiary Meridian Environmental Technology, has been the exclusive supplier of Georgia's 511 system since 2006. Considered an innovator in the Advanced Traffic Information System (ATIS) industry, the company operates 511 systems in 10 states.
Iteris developed and implemented the first successful sponsorship model for a statewide traveler information system for GDOT in 2009. This RFP seeks to secure an exclusive program sponsor, or sponsors of individual 511 NaviGAtor mediums, to continue its proud history of delivering and expanding 511 services to Georgia travelers.
Sponsorship opportunities of the Georgia 511 NaviGAtor system include:
511 telephone system, which receives 1.6 million - 2 million calls annually;
511 website, which exceeds 3 million hits annually;
Over 600 roadway signs statewide, reaching more than 3 million vehicles per day;
Soon to be released mobile applications for iOS and for Android platforms; and
Amended: Geo-location branding and promotion via the Waze smart phone application for iOS and for Android.
