Contractor will assist with the Texas Source Water Assessment and Protection (SWAP) Program, which works with public water systems (PWSs) to identify and implement measures to protect their sources of drinking water from potential contamination. The program involves gaining support from PWSs and regional stakeholders and partners, and conducting site-specific surveys to identify the potential sources of contamination (PSOCs) in the source water protection area (SWPA) near wells or surface water intakes. The inventory of the PSOCs in a SWPA provides the participating PWS with the information it needs to protect its water sources, create a site-specific source water protection report, and determine what best management practices (BMP) should be implemented. TCEQ anticipates awarding a single contract for the services described in this solicitation.
