The Army Contracting Command - New Jersey (ACC-NJ) on behalf of the Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC) and Product Manager Crew Served Weapons (PMCSW) and several other program offices is seeking potential sources to supply various Sig Sauer firearms, silencers, and associated accessories and spare parts. Specific firearm systems of interest include Sig Sauer SP2022 pistols, MPX submachine guns, and MCX carbines/assault rifles. Specifically excluded from this sources sought notice is the P320 as the Modular Handgun System. Silencers include Sig Sauer made silencers designed for pistol use and also Sig Sauer made silencers designed for rifle use. Accessories include items to be used in conjunction with the listed models (e.g. holsters) that are not firearms or components of a firearm. Spare parts include replacement factory magazines and other repair/replacement parts for above listed models.

The following specifications for each Sig Sauer system are detailed below:


Description of Sig Sauer SP2022 with standard sights
For the purposes of this sources sought notice, the SP2022 with standard sights is defined as follows:


One (1) Sig Sauer pistol model SP2022
Three (3) steel magazines per pistol with 15 round capacity each (factory Sig Sauer only)


The SP2022 is a lightweight magazine fed full-size pistol. The SP2022 features a polymer frame with an integrated M1913 accessory rail. The slide is made from stainless steel and has a "Nitron" finish. The firing mechanism is a double-action/single-action (DA/SA) type.

Magazine capacity - 15 Rounds standard
Standard contrast sights
DA/SA trigger/firing mechanism
Nominal trigger pull of 10 lb (DA) and 4.4 lb (SA)

Description of Sig Sauer MPX
For the purposes of this sources sought notice, the MPX is defined as follows:


One (1) Sig Sauer model MPX
One (1) polymer magazine with 30 round capacity (factory Sig Sauer only)


The MPX is a lightweight magazine fed firearm available as a pistol, carbine, or submachine gun. The MPX operates on a short-stroke piston gas system. The MPX fires from the closed bolt with a rotating bolt system for locking the breech during firing. The barrel is cold hammer forged carbon steel and is available in various lengths and changeable at the user level. The handguard is an aluminum alloy and utilizes the "keymod" system for attaching rails and accessories. The upper and lower receiver are hard coat anodized aluminum. The selector, bolt catch, and magazine release controls are ambidextrous. Buttstocks and handguards are replaceable and interchangeable.


NOTE: The MPX may be required in selective-fire or semi-auto-only configuration.

Description of Sig Sauer MCX
For the purposes of this sources sought notice, the MCX is defined as follows:


One (1) Sig Sauer model MCX
One (1) polymer magazine with 30 round capacity (factory Sig Sauer only)


The MCX is a lightweight magazine fed firearm available as a pistol, carbine, or assault rifle. The MCX operates on a short-stroke piston gas system. The MCX fires from the closed bolt with a rotating bolt system for locking the breech during firing. The barrel is cold hammer forged carbon steel and is available in 5.56 NATO and 300 BO in various lengths and are changeable at the user level. The free-floating handguard is an aluminum alloy and utilizes the "M-LOK" system for attaching rails and accessories. The upper and lower receiver are hard coat anodized aluminum. The selector, bolt catch, and magazine release controls are ambidextrous. Buttstocks and handguards are replaceable and interchangeable.


NOTE: The MCX may be required in selective-fire or semi-auto-only configuration

In responding to this Sources Sought Notice, respondents should provide the following information:


A detailed description of your capability to deliver firearms, silencers, accessories, and spare parts including magazines for all above listed Sig Sauer firearm systems. Details should include technical descriptions of the available firearms, silencers, accessories, and spare parts including magazines.


A detailed description of your ability to comply with Item Unique Identification (IUID) machine-readable information (MRI) requirements as described in MIL-STD-130, Identification Marking of U.S. Military Property and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) clause 252.211-7003. Provide any available data related to testing performed to ensure compliance with MIL-STD-130 specifically as it relates to permanency and legibility. Direct identification marking of the serialized receiver (e.g. by laser) capable of withstanding the intended life cycle should be addressed. If another method is described, that description should include an explanation of the method's relative merits and why it is the equivalent or superior.


Describe your maximum deliverable quantity of all the above Sig Sauer systems within 60 days and within each of the following quantity ranges:

1,001 - 5,000
5,001 - 10,000


Interested companies capable of meeting the requirements described above are invited to indicate their interest by providing the Government a brief summary of its company's capabilities, including a description of its ability to meet the above-mentioned IUID MRI requirement and delivery requirements.


All interested sources shall also provide the organization name, address, point of contact, phone number, fax number, e-mail address, taxpayer identification number, DUNS number, and CAGE Code.


Company size (please identify as either Large, Foreign, Small, Small Disadvantaged, 8(a), Woman-Owned Small Business, Historically Underutilized Business Zone concern, Veteran-Owned Small Business, or Service-Disabled Small Business).

This is a Sources Sought Notice. This notice neither constitutes a Request for Proposal, nor does it restrict the Government from an ultimate acquisition approach. This notice should not be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose. Requests for solicitation will not receive a response. All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the U.S. Government. The U.S. Government reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any input as a result of this notice. The U.S. Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this notice. If a formal solicitation is generated at a later date, a pre-solicitation notice will be published. No award will be made as a result of this Sources Sought Notice.
