The U.S. Army, Army Contracting Command (ACC) Contracting Center, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000, on behalf of the Armament, Research, Development and Engineering Center (RDECOM-ARDEC), MS&TD, METC is contemplating the procurement of portable non-destructive inspection technology for the purpose of finding inclusions and cracks in 120mm mortar cannons. In order to perform this task, the equipment must be capable of finding bore surface cracks and inclusions in steel cylindrical tube structures with complicated outer diameter surface conditions such as threads and flanges. Single or multiple NDT techniques can be used. The system must be useable in a field environment and by a minimally trained operator. The system should be designed to give a go / no go response to the operator while saving scan data for later review by certified operators. Respondents are asked to provide the type of NDT method and an estimate of the detection capability they believe they will be able to provide.

Firms/companies are invited to indicate their capabilities by providing specifications, brochures, manuals, reports, demonstration video, etc. and provide information of previous experience related to this type of work. The information provided will not be returned. All data should be sent at no cost to the US Government NO LATER THAN October 25, 2017 to the US Army ARDEC. ATTN: Pamela Jennings Bldg 09 Picatinny, NJ 07866-5000, email: pamela.e.jennings.civ@mail.mil.
