The Naval Air Warfare Center-Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ intends to modify existing basic ordering agreement delivery order N68335-12-G-0011-0011 to provide for additional support as detailed below. The Government anticipates issuing this modification on a non-competitive basis to SRI International, 333 Ravenswood Ave, Menlo Park, CA 94025.

The contractor will be required to provide continued support for the Smart Integration Manager Ontologically Networked (SIMON) International Program Opportunity engagement Tool (iPOET). Additional ontology, rule and semantic reasoning framework development is required, as well as subject matter expertise for technology planning, technology concept development, and work product integration. This is required to ensure the functionality of a prototype. The aforementioned services are anticipated to be required during the current period of performance period.


THIS IS NOT AN INVITATION FOR COMPETITVE PROPOSALS. This acquisition is being pursued under the sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Unless stated herein, no additional information is available. Requests for the same will be disregarded. A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government.


GENERAL INFORMATION: SRI International is the developer and provider of the SIMON Platform and the only qualified source capable to effectively continue the development, testing and integration of the SIMON platform at an efficient cost and effective manner within the specified timeframe. There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, make an award or awards, or be responsible for any money expended by interested parties before award of a contract for the effort described above. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit or award a contract.
