SHIP ALTERATIONS AND INSTALLATIONS
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE) intends to award a competitive Cost Plus Fixed Fee contract for shipboard alterations for removal and installation services for NAVAIR Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) Systems Improved Fresnel Lens Optical Landing System (IFLOLS), Advanced Recovery Control (ARC), Autolube and Aviation Data Management And Control System (ADMACS) onboard CVN-72 USS Abraham Lincoln. Installation of the four ALRE systems shall be accomplished during the CVN-72's Refueling Complex Overhaul (RCOH). The procurement will be competed amongst Alteration Installation Team (AIT) Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) holders. The BOAs were issued under solicitation N68335-12-R-0050 on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website. The requirement will be for services including work in the following areas: Quality Assurance (QA), System Removal, Packaging and Shipping, Debris/Hazardous Material Disposition, Structural Work, Welding, Non-Destructive Testing, Electrical/Electronics, Piping/Plumbing , Fire Watch, Painting and Pre-Installation Checkout.
Period of Performance for the contract will be through 15 February 2017. The NAICS code associated with this requirement is 336611. Only current small business AIT BOA holders will be able to compete for this requirement. All responsible sources, who have not currently submitted for an AIT BOA or who do not currently hold a AIT BOA, are encouraged to submit a capability statement in response to announcement N68335-14-R-0178 if they would like to compete for future ship installation requirements.
