Repair and Maintenance for one (1) 65" Ferryboat, one (1) 28' Tugboat, and one (1) 64'
The State is seeking proposals for repairs and maintenance work to State
ferryboats. The Department completes the seasonal operation of ferry services on October 31st. The ferryboats are then immediately available for the
seasonal overhaul. All repair and maintenance work must be completed in time to enable ferry
service to resume annually on March 15th, including sufficient time for U.S. Coast Guard
inspection and any mandated corrections and modifications to be performed by the Contractor.
The successful bidder must specify its suggested methods to accomplish the annual, biennial
and triennial maintenance work and repairs stated herein. This submittal must supply
sufficient detail, including mandatory services with associated costs, and also specify other
repairs that will become apparent after tearing down and disassembling various mechanical
systems, in order to allow flexibility while performing the work. Bidders should submit their
bids written in terms, conditions, and standards common to the marine trades industry. Cost
shall be broken down into parts and labor.
