Removal of Accumulated Sediment from Backwash Lagoons
Through this Contract the City is soliciting the
services of a Contractor for dredging and general restoration of
backwash lagoons 1 and 2 at the Water Treatment Plant
(NWTP) which includes the following:
1. Volume restoration of backwash lagoons 1 and 2 through
removal of sediment.
2. Dewatering as necessary.
3. Removal and restoration of existing fencing and gates
as necessary.
4. Removal and disposal of existing Concrete Masonry Unit
(CMU) inlet diversion structure.
5. Off-site disposal of all dredged material, trash, and
construction debris.
6. Clearing and disposal of trees and other woody
vegetation along lagoon banks.
7. Temporary (as needed) and permanent vegetative bank
stabilization.
8. Installation of stabilized vehicular access from the
bank to Sanitary Sewer Manhole 44-10 which is located
within Lagoon 1.
9. Installation of buoys or other approved demarcation at
all pipe terminations.
