LEGAL SERVICES
REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

The Multnomah County Drainage District ("District") is requesting proposals for LEGAL SERVICES from law firms and attorneys ("Firms") licensed to practice law in the State of Oregon with qualifications to provide a full range of legal services. The District is seeking a Firm to provide legal services and strategic support for both day-to-day business operations and government activities as well as in anticipation of complicated legal issues that may arise in connection with the Federal Emergency Management Agency levee accreditation process that the District is currently addressing.
Services will include: attending periodic strategic meetings with the District, its boards of supervisors, and staff; advising the District on general legal matters; assisting the District with routine business matters such as employment and labor issues; litigation or negotiation services if-and-as-needed; and the rendering of other legal advice and assistance as requested. The District will select the Firm that best meets its growing and changing legal needs.

The RFP does not obligate the District to pay any costs incurred to prepare proposals or presentations. The District may reject any proposal not in compliance with all applicable requirements and the District may reject any or all proposals if they determine that it is in the public interest to do so.
