REGIONAL ENERGY & EMISSIONS SUSTAINABILITY PLAN
The Sunshine Coast Regional District invites qualified consulting firms to submit
proposals a for the preparation of a Regional Energy and Emissions Sustainability Plan and
that addresses the complete scope of work presented in the above bid document.
The Regional District, Town of Gibsons and Sechelt Indian Government District are
signatories to the B.C. Climate Action Charter (Bill 10) and have completed, or are in the
process of completing, their Corporate Emissions Reduction Plans. The Regional District
and Town of Gibsons have joined the Partners for Climate Protection (PCP) and are pursuing
recognition under the PCP's 5 Milestone Framework. Under the recently enacted Bill 27,
the Regional District, Town of Gibsons and District of Sechelt must incorporate greenhouse
gas reduction targets into their respective OCPs by March 31, 2010.
