Public Safety Center Generator Relocation, Conversion and Maintenance
The existing 500 KW Generator at the County Adult Detention Center (ADC) is no longer connected to the ADC electrical system. The intent of this Invitation for Bid is to obtain the services of an experienced provider to disconnect the existing generator from its current location at the ADCn transport it to the provider's shopn convert its voltage from 277/480 volt to 120/208 voltn store it at the service provider's yard for six (6) monthsn exercise the generator weeklyn transport it to a new location at Brambleton Public Safety Centern and perform start-up on site.
Current Generator Location: Loudoun County Adult Detention Center, 42035 Loudoun Center Place, Leesburg, Virginia 20175
Brambleton Public Safety Center: Intersection of Belmont Ridge Road and Shreveport Road, Brambleton, Virginia. This facility is a new building that is in the final stages of the design process. Construction will start approximately March, 2011.
Generator: Existing Caterpillar 3456 Generator set, Year 2004, 500 KW (625 kva), 277/480 Volt 3 phase, 499 frame, 1800 RPM, Excitation 72V/13.4 AMP, ESO:BDYST, (2) circuit breakers at 250 Amp and 800 Amp, and 375 Gallon belly tank.
