Public Relations Services
This RFP solicits requests for public relations services. The main responsibility is to write and distribute press releases on a weekly basis, for Park Commission programs, special events, facilities, and volunteer opportunities. Releases should be sent to a variety of media outlets including daily, weekly, and monthly newspapers and magazines, radio stations, cable stations, and tourism related websites through New Jersey and the local surrounding states.
Other responsibilities include writing a weekly column for a local newspaper on specific topics, as supplied by Park Commission staff. The consultant may also work with Park Commission staff on promoting new events and programs, such as facility openings, tournaments, and fund raising initiatives.
Responsibilities also include attendance at monthly Park Commission meetings to participate in learning about new initiatives and activities about the Commission which may entail future public notification.
