and dust.
3.1.2 Maximum 8 foot articulating arm (itemize various size costs)
3.1.3 7-axis arm capabilities for future upgrade to laser scanning functionality
3.1.4 Mounting frame/base for desktop application
3.1.5 Portable machine stand (if required with mounting frame)
3.1.6 Associated controller and quick change probes to perform dimensional inspection in educational metrology
lab (Itemize standard kit probes along with additional accessories)
3.1.7 Calibration tools for initial start up
3.1.8 Operating temperature range of 60 - 80 F
3.1.9 Wireless connectivity to software
3.2 Supplies
3.2.1 Metrology software performing the following:
a. Software must be integrated with CMM to perform metrology functions
b. Offline capability for a teaching environment of possibly 20 students
c. Compatibility software and functionality to translate CAD data
d. Compatible with solid modeling software such as Pro/Engineer and SolidWorks and multiple CAD file
formats such as STEP
e. Ability to generate part programs for GD&T exercises
f. All types of geometric tolerance should be available
g. Evaluate measurement results
h. Generate inspection reports
3.2.2 State detailed costs for any other supplies needed for CMM for educational purposes and operation
3.3 Exclusions
3.3.1 Computer, monitor, printer and other computer peripherals must be excluded
3.3.2 Computer and operating system must be recommended by vendor in bid
3.4 Installation and Training
3.4.1 Installation and start up services with initial certification
3.4.2 Installation of associated CMM software with purchase
3.4.3 On-site training for faculty members
3.5 Maintenance and Warranty
3.5.1 Provide maintenance contract information.
3.5.2 Minimum of one year warranty on parts and labor required
