Peculiar Tooling P-8
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst requires peculiar tooling to inspect, repair, and replace O-rings seals and bearings on P-8A aircraft landing gear. This procurement will be for 4 each of the following items: Out Montage Cuvette F27538000, Tool Removal Bearing Cups F27539000, Tool Assembly MLG Bearing F27536000, Tool removal MLG Bearing F27537000, Wheel Assembly set GS47536, PIN R46456;40 each of Spatula 89901; and 6 each of MLG Alignment Pin GS47536 and Alignment Pin S49390. The Government intends to issue a purchase order on a limited competition basis between Safran Inc., the Original Equipment Manufacturer, and their authorized distributor. Under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c) (1), FAR 6.302-1 this firm is considered the only manufacturer of the required equipment. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a full and open competitive procurement.
