This amendment is to correct the Classification Code and NAICS code since they were orginally synopsized with the incorrect codes. The response date has been revised to 23 May 2017, 12:00pm EST.

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst intends to procure on a competitive basis engineering services for the P-8A Sonobuoy Storage Racks. The existing P-8A Sonobuoy Storage Racks are not capable of meeting the requirements of the United States Navy Fleet in that they are not certified to carry a full load of forty-eight (48) sonobuoys per side (per dual rack). The objective is to perform an analysis of the existing P-8A Sonobuoy Storage Racks and provide engineering solutions for the carriage of a full load. The Government intends to issue a competitive Request for Quote (RFP) on the GSA e-Buy website for this commodity type of service. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
