The Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS, Agency) is requesting Offers (bids / proposals) from responsible Vendors to meet the State's needs. HFS is seeking an automated Pharmacy Benefit Management System (PBMS) to support its Pharmacy Services Programs. The system will be capable of performing point-of-sale (POS) eligibility verification, predetermination of benefits, claims and service billing adjudication, claims and service billing reversals, and drug prior approval requests, inquiries and reversals over a switched network interacting with retail pharmacies and will support e-prescribing and automated means of assisting prescribers and pharmacies to ensure clinically appropriate medications and to avoid adverse drug events.
