Outside Immigration Counsel
The University is interested in establishing a pool of Attorneys who have legal expertise in immigration matters that will be used on an asneeded basis by the Office of the General Counsel and the International Faculty & Scholars office. The areas of assistance include, but are not limited to the following:
Non-immigrant faculty, scholars, staff and student visa matters
Non-immigrant employee matters
Reimbursement of foreign visitor expenses or fees
Payment to foreign visitors, such as honorariums and consultation fees
Representation of the University in difficult or complex immigration cases
Employment-based permanent residency petitions or questions
Assisting University personnel in preparation and presentation of continuing education
sessions on immigration issues for various segments of the University Community
including administrators, faculty, staff and students
