Latino Public Broadcasting (LPB) is accepting applications for its 2009 Open Call. Through this program, LPB invites independent producers or production entities to submit proposals for a public television program or series on subjects related to or representative of Latino Americans. Support will be provided for programs in most genres, including drama, comedy, animation, documentary, and mixed genre. Funding will be considered for every phase of production: grants of $5,000 to $20,000 are available for research and development; production and post-production grants range between $25,000 and $100,000; grants to support outreach efforts range between $10,000 and $25,000. Applications must be received by June 1, 2009.
