The City of Newport is soliciting statements of qualifications for the North End Master Planning process for the 900 acre City of Newport neighborhood. This area of Newport has a rich mix of commercial and residential uses. Economic development opportunities are plentiful as the City of Newport is completing enterprise zone status for the area. The North End has recently undergone a renaissance through infusions of public capital to create a community college, Major Park and recreation improvements, and an extensive redevelopment of subsidized housing, will be received in the Purchasing Office, City Hall, 43 Broadway, Newport, R. I., until Two (2) o'clock PM, Local Time 18 Apr 2005.
