National Historic Landmarks/National Register of Historic Places Grants Program
The focus of this grant program is to encourage parks to undertake documentation of new properties that may be eligible for either form of recognition or update the documentation of existing National Historic Landmark and National Register properties. This new or updated documentation will provide important tools for guiding preservation decisions and developing new interpretive programming.
Priority will be given to documenting and nominating:
properties associated with the nations diverse cultural heritage,
properties that are underrepresented property types in the current list of National Historic Landmarks and National Register of Historic Places, and/or
properties that are subject to severe and imminent environmental and human threats.
