The Army Contracting Command (ACC) New Jersey, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000 is conducting a Market Survey on behalf of the Joint Program Manager Office Towed Artillery Systems (JPMO-TAS) to identify potential sources for a Mission Computer (MSC) and a Chief of Section Display (CSD) in support of the M777A2 Lightweight 155MM Towed Howitzer's Digital Fire Control System (DFCS). Description: This Sources Sought is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or an obligation on the part of JPMO-TAS or RDECOM-ARDEC. The DFCS provides a complete, fully integrated digital onboard fire control system for the M777A2 Lightweight 155MM Towed Howitzer. The Digital Fire Control System (DFCS) is comprised of hardware and specialized software that allows the M777A2 to rapidly emplace and significantly improve system accuracy, lethality, response time, and survivability. The onboard Mission Computer (MSC) provides the centralized computing and integration hub for onboard sensors and Line Replaceable Units (LRUs). The MSC utilizes those sensors, LRUs, and user input in conjunction with integrated fire control software to automate Howitzer operations. The Chief of Section Display (CSD) is the primary display used to operate the DFCS. The Technical Documentation for this procurement will be Distribution C, and vendors will be required to fill out DD Form 2345 prior to receipt of technical data related to this sources sought.

All interested vendors are requested to provide:
1. Statement of capability describing the vendor's capability to provide the item.
2. Rough Order Magnitude Cost to provide supplies/services.
3. Rough Order Magnitude Schedule to provide supplies/services inclusive of Design Verification and First Article Testing.


Submissions of designs that are not fully compliant with all requirements are also encouraged so that JPMO-TAS and RDECOM-ARDEC may assess the capabilities of all currently available sources. The Government recognizes that proprietary and/or classified data may be a part of this effort. If so, clearly mark such restricted/proprietary and classified data and present them as an addendum to the nonrestricted/non-proprietary and unclassified information. As a result of this Sources Sought a Request for Proposal (RFP) may be issued to acquire the Mission Computer (MSC) and a Chief of Section Display (CSD). Participation in this Sources Sought is completely voluntary by the vendor and as such all costs to develop the vendor's response are to be borne by the participating vendor.
