Military Specification Cables
THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for Commercial Purchase of Military Specification Cable, prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
This is a Small Business Set Aside. Award will be issued based on stand FAR and DFARS clauses. Offeror's should not send their company's Terms and Conditions as it could make the offer non-responsive.
The US Navy intends to procure following cable manufactured to the specifications identified, The length must be in continuous feet, not cut and cumulative lengths on separate reels for each individual item:
1.MIL-SPEC: MIL-C-24643/36 - Mil Spec # M24643/36-01-UD
Description: CABLE, 3 CONDUCTOR TRIADS, 18 AWG, WATERPROOF, SHIELDED, INDIVIDUALLY SHEILDED TRIADS
QTY: 3000 ft.
2.MIL-SPEC: MIL-C-24640/16 - Mil Spec # M24640/16-02UO
Description: CABLE, 7 CONDUCTOR PAIRS, 22 AWG, WATERPROOF, SHIELDED, INDIVIDUALLY SHEILDED PAIRS
QTY: 900 ft.
This is a procurement for Military Specification Cable. The specification-defined cable is required in a design drawing and no alternative products are acceptable. Due to a very tight testing schedule, no delays for the closing of this solicitation will be allowed.
Award projected 5 August 2019. This requirement has a fixed delivery date no later than 26 August 2020 at Joint Base McGuire/Dix/Lakehurst, 08733. Shipping is FOB Destination; do not price shipping separately. This will be a Federal Government award, exempt from State Tax.
The Navy intends to issue this Purchase Order on Lowest Price Technically Acceptable basis. There are 2 Technically Acceptable Criteria. The First is to provide cable manufactured to the Military Specification as described in the description, and the second is detailing a plan to deliver the cable to Lakehurst on-time. Offerors need to explain how they will be able to meet the required delivery date. Failure to explain how the Offeror will comply with the two criteria will result in disqualifying the offer.
