Marketing & Communication Program Plan- Clean Diesel/ Air Quality
Requesting proposals for the development and execution of an aggressive marketing communications campaign to launch a new business recognition program (Program) primarily targeting diesel fleet managers in two areas.
The overall objective is to build strong demand for the program as a key component of our state's Clean Diesel Initiative, with the goal of reducing cancer
risk from diesel exhaust exposure. The Program will recognize fleet managers that have voluntarily initiated actions to reduce diesel exhaust using cleaner fuels, pollution control devices, conserving fuel # beyond what is required.
This initiative represents a unique proactive and non-regulatory opportunity for a governmental agency to go beyond traditional command and control approaches in partnership with industry, to achieve healthand environmental benefits.
The budget is set to $80,000 for this work, which includes development of concepts and
execution of the campaign, including all media and printing costs.
The Project is funded through a federal Performance Partnership Grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The Contractor selected will be expected to begin work immediately after contractexecution; work must be completed within
12 months of the contract effective date.
