Life Safety Improvements - CM at Risk

The university is seeking pre-construction and construction services for the life safety improvements to
the University Suites and Schwartz Hall, a total of eight, dormitory style buildings equating to 558+/-
beds. The scope of work includes a central fire pump with distribution mains, back-up generator, fire
suppression systems, fire alarm systems, related code improvements, PME systems upgrades (electrical, mechanical , etc.), minor general renovations, finish work, etc. The project requires phasing on behalf of the designer and CM@R to maintain use of the existing facilities during the construction period. The interior work must be executed when the buildings are vacated, currently May 16, 2011 through August 1, 2011. Damages for missed delivery are approximately $300 per bed per day.
