Legal Services for Indigent Defendants
The City intends to establish contracts to provide mandated legal defense services to indigent persons arrested
for or charged with misdemeanors committed within the City, as well as, on occasion, provide such services for
indigents in probation violation proceedings, appeals, contempt proceedings and/or other legal matters involving potential
loss of liberty and which legally require the appointment of counsel.
