Legal Services (Avandia)
This document constitutes a request for competitive, sealed proposals for the provision of legal services
for the Office of the Missouri Attorney General ("AGO") as set forth herein. The AGO is seeking
proposals from law firms interested in and qualified to investigate whether GlaxoSmithKline engaged in
fraudulent marketing when it marketed and sold the drug Avandia. If warranted, the AGO contemplates
that the selected firm would initiate litigation on behalf of the State of Missouri to pursue such claims
against GlaxoSmithKline. NOTE: The State of Missouri intends to award one contract as a result of this
procurement effort
