Legal Services
The City is a city of the first class, existing and organized by its Charter.
Under that Charter, legal services are provided to the City by its City Attorneys Office. However, on occasion the City hires outside, private legal counsel for matters that require special expertise, assistance in complex or lengthy litigation, or when a conflict of interest exists for the City Attorneys Office.
In order to select providers of these legal services, the City has established panels of attorneys and law firms that can provide the necessary legal expertise when needed by the City.
To establish such panels, the City is seeking proposals from individual attorneys and law firms qualified and experienced in providing such legal services.
