Landfill Gas Collection System
The County is requesting proposals for the design and construction of a system to extract landfill gas at the closed County Landfill. This action will result in the establishment of a working landfill gas system which will collect gas from 3 existing wells and 12 newly drilled wells, transport that gas through a network of pipes, to a blower/flare, until the second phase of the project when the gas will be used as fuel for a boiler system to heat greenhouses on the site and burn off excess gas with a flare, until such time as this remaining gas is used for other energy recovery processes.
