Land Development Code Update

PRIMARY WORK PRODUCT: This contract will result in an update of the City's Land Development Code (LDC) consistent with the Comprehensive Plan. The approach shall be a proposed form-based code, meant to supersede (either entirely or in part) the present zoning ordinance and other local land development regulations that apply to the City of Gainesville. The City is most interested in protecting the character and integrity of single family neighborhoods, and creating a quality urban environment in the downtown, activity centers, around the University of Florida, and commercial corridors.
