LAM-12 Field Support
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst requires field service support for two LAM-12 Radiological Bulk Counters at FRIA Astugi Japan and Fleet Readiness Center Southeast Jacksonville, Florida. This procurement will be for one year of field service and maintenance on two LAM-12 units currently in the field with an option for an additional year of support. The Government intends to issue a purchase order on a sole source basis to Thermo-Eberline, the OEM for the equipment. Under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1, this firm is considered the only manufacturer of the required equipment, and therefore, the only source capable of providing the field service required. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a full and open competitive procurement.
