Insurance Imaging Maintenance Extension
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Acquisition Operations (OAO), Technology Acquisition Center (TAC), located at 23 Christopher Way, Eatontown, New Jersey, intends to enter into a modification to an existing contract on a basis of other than full and open competition for hardware and software maintenance services support of the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) Insurance Imaging System. The intended sole source award will be a firm-fixed price (FFP) modification with MTS Software Solutions, Inc. 225 Executive Drive Suite 4, Moorestown, NJ 08057-4237. VA Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) requires technical support and maintenance services for the continued hardware and software support, for the current VBA Insurance Imaging System hosted and managed in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This imaging system is the backbone of the VBA Insurance Enforcement and Payment System and supports the processing of the VBA Insurance Enforcement and Payment System application which is a critical application that handles the maintenance and administration of insurance policy coverage for service members. The Statutory Authority for this effort falls under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1 entitled, "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements." The primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 541511 with corresponding small business size standard of $25.5M annual revenue. The anticipated award date is June 27, 2014 .
