The University of California (UC) and California State University (CSU) seeks to identify and contract for the most efficient, practical and cost effective business model to serve their Statewide needs for temporary information technology staff. The bidding companies will identify individuals to perform these functions for temporary assignments who must be available on relatively short notice - e.g. within two days.

The goals of any new Strategically Sourced Agreements are:

Increase the availability of qualified temporary IT staffing
Leverage the buying power of UC and CSU for better pricing, value and service
Increase the utilization of qualified small businesses, including disabled veteran businesses, veteran-owned businesses, women-owned businesses and HUBZone businesses, in order to achieve supplier diversity goals
Consolidate requirements with a limited number of service providers to maximize the resources of both organizations, automate processes and increase the consistency of quality temporary IT staffing
Develop an end-to-end process that will deliver candidate availability and skills, customer orders, invoicing, reporting, risk compliance, and cost management

This RFP could provide an opportunity for agencies selected to offer services through an Agency Managed Service if a location decided to optionally use this model in the future.
