The Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) invites tenders for the provision of Tier 2 Private Hospital Services, commencing July 2008. Providers will be contracted under the Repatriation Private Patient Scheme and will require prior financial authorisation from DVA to treat clients. This Request for Tender (RFT) does not include public or private hospitals that have a current Tier 1 contract with DVA. The provision of mental health services is not part of this RFT and hospitals that currently have a contract with DVA to provide mental health services do not need to participate in this RFT. Day Procedure Centres with current DVA contracts, which also provide overnight services, may tender for the provision of overnight services. Current holders of Tier 2 Private Hospital contracts must tender if they wish to continue providing services to veterans.
