The Gwinnett County (Georgia) Department of Public Utilities is soliciting proposals for implementation of a handheld-based meter reading management system that will interface with SAPs IS-U Customer Billing System to support water service meter routes. The successful Vendor will be required to provide a turnkey approach to implementation of the software system selected and will be responsible for delivery of a fully installed, tested, optimized, and functional system.
This Request for Proposals (RFP) is intended to establish a set of technical requirements, define basic functional characteristics for the software system desired, and provide general direction to prospective Vendors in submitting proposals for this work. However, the information is not exhaustive in every detail and all work, activities, and materials required for full implementation may not be expressly recognized in this RFP. Consequently, it will be the responsibility of prospective Vendors to include in their proposal all labor, equipment, materials, licenses, royalties, administration, overhead, and all other things that are inherently necessary for complete implementation and full operation of their proposed system.
