The U.S. Army, Army Contracting Command, New Jersey (ACC-NJ) on behalf of the U.S. Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC), located at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ has a requirement for the purchase of one (1) Vertical Machining Center, HAAS Model DM-2 or equal.

Minimum requirements for a Vertical Machining Center are listed below. This must include the trade in value of Haas GR 510 Router, SN 1081871. Router is currently located at West Point Military Academy, West Point, NY and will be picked up at West Point Military Academy. Total machine cutting hours for the router are 30:56.

Minimum Travel: 28" x 16" x 15.5" (X, Y, Z)
Horsepower: 15
Minimum Spindle Speed: 15,000 RPM
Minimum Rapids: 2400 IPM
Minimum Cutting Feed 1200 IPM
Tool Changer: minimum 18 tool Station
Swing Arm ATC
Control: Haas
Through Spindle Coolant: Minimum 300 Psi
Minimum Tool change time of 1.6 seconds (Chip-Chip).
Wireless Probe: Tool and Work setting capability
4th Axis Drives and Wiring
Inline Direct Drive System
Programmable Coolant Nozzle
Rear Lift Chip Auger

The Government intends to conduct a competition for this requirement amongst existing Small Business, Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) holders with a single, firm fixed, call order being placed.
