Engineering Design And Permitting Services For The U.S. 1 Bayside Shared Use Path
The County is interested in constructing a paved shared use path adjacent to the north
side of US 1 from approximately mile markers 106 to approximately 99.5. The local
community has expressed interest in the shared use path to connect the local residential
neighborhoods to various businesses and commercial areas.
The County requires the services of a firm or individual to develop the design of the
shared use path, obtain required permits, perform surveying and prepare construction
documents. The engineering design will conform to the Florida Department of
Transportation (FDOT) design standards and include, but not be limited to, design of the
path, stormwater management plans, inclusion of safety devices, reconfiguring
ingress/egress where feasible to minimize crossings, and maintenance to traffic during
construction.
