The State is seeking services for the drainage repairs. The project site is characterized by thin sandy loam topsoil, sediment-clogged concrete culvert pipes, degraded slopes, and drainage channels requiring grading/shaping. The main objective is to replace old culvert pipes and stabilize slopes and drainage channels. A stabilized land surface is characterized by complete native vegetative cover with no erosion or sedimentation occurring during rain events. This will; a) protect nearby trails from erosion damage in the future, b) protect a historic rock lined ditch downstream, c) provide safe access to and around the Range for training soldiers, d) improve storm water uptake and infiltration, and e) improve environmental quality in the contributing and receiving watersheds.
