The City is seeking proposals from qualified vendors for pipe to be installed beneath the Railroad shall be Gasketed Extra Heavy Duty Pipe conforming to all requirements. Approved backfill and compactive efforts over and around the new pipe shall be such that settlement is minimized. Following reinstallation of the tracks, the K&O shall run rail traffic through the new crossing a minimum of one (1) week to allow for possible settlement, before the Contractor will be allowed to install final or permanent pavement at the crossing.
