Developing a Wastewater Master Plan Update. Preparation of Wastewater Master Plan Update. The Plan will: 1) establish a sewage generation rate based on the 2010 census, City's flow monitoring data and water conservation trends, 2) set the sewer capacity fee per Equivalent Dwelling Unit (EDU) that needs to be collected for new development in order to finance sewer and treatment capacity upgrades needed to accommodate development, 3) evaluate the current wastewater collection system to ensure the sewer assets (infrastructure) continue to provide the required level of service, and 4) develop a CIP by identifying existing sewer deficiencies and recommending facility improvements to accommodate growth and ultimate City buildout conditions. The Plan will serve as a working document for the City in detemining annual rehabilitation, replacement and expansion facility improvements required through 2050.
